Squad Fees
Anaconda Swimming Club is a ‘not-for-profit’ swimming club run by a team of volunteers. Every year the Committee determine the fees for the following year after reviewing our costs (mainly pool hire, wages and insurance).
Membership Fee
There is an annual fee for Membership of Anaconda Swimming Club. This is used to pay for membership to Swim England and to cover the Club’s insurance. All squad swimmers are required to pay this fee on 1 January. Swimmers whose memberships remain unpaid by the end of January will not be able to participate in training sessions.
- Swim England & Club Membership - £50 per year
Fees for Squad Training
All fees are charged as a monthly subscription. Payments are split into 11 even months (there is no charge for August as the Club is closed). Refunds will be paid at the end of the year for closures or cancelled sessions. Our current fees are:
Fitness Squad - £48 per month
Academy Squad - £62 per month
County 1 & 2 Squads - £75 per month
Regional Development Squad - £90 per month
Regional Age Squad - £95 per month
Performance Squad - £110 per month
Performance Plus Squad - £125 per month
As a club we remain committed to inclusion and so would encourage anyone who feels that fees for their desired squad might be an issue please contact [email protected] to discuss what support might be available.
New Squads Explained
The changes to the squad structure at Anaconda are in partnership with Hackney Aquatics. These changes build on some huge successes from last season but also remedy some areas where changes brought in that did not realise the expected benefits. This sets an outline for what members can expect for each squad.
Main objectives:
- Create an environment in the performance pathway that is focussed on excellence.
- Allow for the fastest and most committed age group swimmers to train together in a pathway with a clear long-term goal.
- Create a space for swimmers who can commit less, or are still developing towards the required standard, to train regularly in a competitive environment and progress as circumstances change.
- Maintain proximities along clear pathways and between peer groups.
- Enable greater fluidity for swimmers/coaches to enact movement across pathways to best suit their evolving needs and levels of commitment.
These criteria are a guide, and all decisions will be made at the discretion of the coaching team.
Cancelling Squad Membership
Please provide at least 30 days’ notice if you wish to resign as a member of Anaconda Swimming Club, so that the space can be filled from the waiting list.
