A big well done to the Anaconda team at the National Arena League Round 3 in St Albans last Saturday. The swimmers performed above expectations and finished third after Watford and Putteridge. Final results are: 1st Watford Swimming Club 2nd Putteridge Swimming Club 3rd Anaconda Swimming Club 4th Hillingdon A Swimming Club 5th Shiverers Swimming Club It was a beautiful and fitting send off for Wayne who has worked tirelessly to get us to this level.

As coaches, we believe it is like having an extra coach on poolside, as the visual feedback really helps swimmers grasp what they are working on improving, whether about their starts, underwater techniques or their stroke technique. A reminder has been sent out by Tam our Chair yesterday. There are still some tickets available for those who have not already requested them, to attend our Christmas party and awards evening, hosted jointly with Hackney Aquatics. It is taking place on Monday 19th December, 6pm to 9.30pm, at the Mildmay Club, 33-34 Newington Green, N16 9PR. Joe has emailed out the timetable for the Club Championships taking place this weekend at Clissold Leisure Centre: Warm up 1 Girls 9:00-9:25 Boys 9:25-9:50 S1 10:00-12:20 Lunch break 12:20-13:00 Warm up 2 Boys 13:00-13:25 Girls 13:25-13:50 S2 14:00-15:45 Please arrive at 8:45 so that there is plenty of time to get changed and have a chat with coaches. Today's the deadline for Club Championships entries! If you have not entered your swimmers yet, please do so by tonight. All swimmers are expected to race all events and may be refused entry unless a legimate reason is given for entering only some events. A big well done to Annabel and Mabel who competed at the Swim England Winter Championships last weekend. A great display of short course swimming at national level from the girls. The mini time trial for Anaconda swimmers from Perf/JPA/Pre-Dev was held at Beacon High swimming pool on 24 November 2022 between 5:45-6:45pm. Swimmers aged from 8 to 16 years old were participating in all four strokes. Results to be posted shortly.

The Anaconda swim camp returned this year with a new destination, sunny Mallorca! A week long training camp that consisted of 11 pool sessions (2 hours each), 2 land training sessions on the beach, daily talks from nutrition to mindset and lots more in between, daily team games that ended with a fantastic talent show and lots of fun and team bonding.
